Welcome to Belltayne Bengal's, a New Zealand breeder of top quality, imported, health tested Bengal's.
We are very passionate about breeding and raising amazing Bengal's that have beautiful nature's, stunning patterns, wild type and excellent health.
We are proudly TICA and NZCF registered.
We devote all of our time and attention to our beautiful cats and their care. We have worked very hard over the years to breed healthy Bengal's with amazing, affectionate and family friendly temperaments while having head-turning looks... as if a wild cat has just entered your home.
Our cats are unique, developed from our own outcross line which has required years of dedicated breeding but we believe in health and genetic diversity in the breed and seeing the results has made it all worthwhile.
We mainly produce beautiful brown Bengal's but occasionally have silver, snow, melanistic, blue, red and cinnamon kitten's. We breed both shorthair and rare longhair (cashmere) Bengals.
We are one of a few breeder's internationally with a red and cinnamon programme. If you love your red cats, you will adore these beautiful rarities.
All of our breeding cats are DNA tested to prevent hereditary disease, tested with Orivet, Australia and/or My Cat DNA Wisdom Panel and we follow best practice carrying out regular HCM screening on all of our breeding cats.

Rumpelstiltskin is everything we could've wished for in a kitten.
Brown Charcoal with excellent structure and an intense pattern with good contrast that will develop as he matures.
He will be staying with us to promote longhair Bengal's showing here in New Zealand and to further our long and shorthair programme.
He has three imported studs in his pedigree and represents years of effort on our part.

He is a little unusual being Corin. He carries the longhair gene which is very exciting as it helps us on our journey breeding longhair Bengal's (Cashmere Bengal's).
Belltayne Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice is an amazing home bred boy from our own outcross line. He has two of our imported boys in his pedigree and has a charasmatic 'look at me' attitude. He is simply 'WOW'.
He was shown as a kitten with excellent results and is doing well this season as an adult.

She had her first show (National Show) at just over four months old with amazing results! BIS, BAM, Judges choice, 2nd, 3rd, 6th overall in shorthair entire kitten's. Placed in all but one ring.
This wee girl shows so much promise, she really does have it all.

Millie is a very pretty and unique longhair. We love everything about her from her absolutely beautiful temperament to her exquisite looks and excellent type.
She has been shown this season and her beautiful nature shone through. A fairly new trait out and about here in New Zealand but it's lovely to get longhairs out there and seen.

Duchess is just gorgeous. I am drawn to her beautiful face and large eyes. She is a very muscular girl. When you pick her up you aren't expecting her to be quite so heavy. She is a sister of Beetlejuice.
She has had her first litter with us recently and we are delighted with the kitten's. Duchess carries cinnamon and the longhair gene.

Bianca is a gorgeous golden brown queen carrying cinnamon. She is from old New Zealand lines and has been a real asset to our programme giving us our beautiful kitten, Pride and Prejudice.

When we're asked in what direction do we want our programme to go, the answer is Dee Dee. Just wow, the wild look has shone through on this youngster since she was just a few weeks old.
Watching her mature has been a real treat.
A very plain cooler brown coat with smaller rosettes just adds to the look of a small jungle dwelling wild cat.
Belltayne Cheetah
This stunning brown girl has been a standout since just a few weeks old. I love her gorgeous caramel coat, her beautiful eyes and well pretty much everything!
She is corin and may carry the longhair gene as well as lynx. Look forward to watching her mature.

Valentina is a pretty golden brown girl with a beautiful, sweet nature. Longhair carrier.
Belltayne Desirae Stelara
Desirae is a gorgeous bright golden brown kitten we have kept from Belltayne Stelmaria's final litter with us before she headed away to a pampered retirement life.
Excited about her structure and the added bonus that she carries cinnamon and may carry the longhair gene.
Belltayne Bellatrix
Bellatrix is a head turning rarity, part of our small red programme. She is a brown torbie.
Great pattern and contrast and her line tend to grow into themselves as they mature. We look forward to her first litter in the coming months.

Kitten Availability and Information
We take great pride in breeding well socialised, friendly kitten's that will be a joyful addition to your household. Please do as much research as you can into the Bengal breed. They differ in personality from any other cat breed and are an absolute delight.
They like to help you with everything and are very curious, they are addicted to water and will seek it out whether out of the kitchen tap, in the shower or bath or even toilet! They love to climb and you will often find them perched on top of a door or other high spot looking down surveying their kingdom. They will keep you entertained with their mischievous antics, you will never have a bored moment and at times they will leave you in hysterics. They are very intelligent, can be harness trained and learn to play fetch. Some of mine even open doors! They do have an off switch though and in the evenings, after dinner and play their favourite spot will be either right beside you or on you!
Kitten's are generally available for reservation from August through to March and current litters are usually pictured on my facebook and Instagram page, Trademe or on my website.
All of my kitten's come DNA clear of preventable hereditary disease, with there first two vaccinations, microchipped, desexed and registered with TICA or NZCF. They also come with a starter kitten pack which includes a few days starter food, a blanket from home to help them settle quickly, care notes, six weeks complimentary pet insurance and a health guarantee.
My kitten's are all raised underfoot in my home and are very well socialised around other house cat's and my large and small dog's.
Prices range depending on a few different factor's including what I perceive as pet or show quality and on occassion I may have kitten's available that would compliment a breeding programme if you are a registered breeder.
I am very much into improving health and genetic diversity in my breeding programme and have put much thought into the cats that best benefit it.
My cats are all registered Bengal's with TICA/NZCF and range from outcrosses (Gen 1, 2, 3) through to SBT/SBV (Gen 4 and above). All can be shown in New Zealand and I welcome enquiries if this is something that interests you. Outcrossing improves health, genetic diversity and assists in breeding to the Bengal Breed Standard.
